As a lawyer and natural storyteller, becoming a wedding officiant made perfect sense for Evan. It was never actually on his radar though—until his good friends asked him to perform their wedding ceremony in 2017.
He was honoured to be asked, and even more surprised by the joy he received playing this special role in such an important day. It immediately inspired him to help other couples fulfill their dreams for their own cherished events.
Gorette takes great pride in uniquely personalizing the weddings of each couple she marries. In addition to performing traditional ceremonies, she specializes in spiritual celebrations, intimate elopements, paper signings, and vow renewals.
Her impressive linguistic skills mean Gorette can also officiate weddings in Portugese and French! Clients are most endeared to her easygoing personality, which also comes in handy as a realtor, massage therapist, and acupuncturist.
When Rick got engaged over 35 years ago himself, he branched out from copywriting and became a licensed mechanic and shop manager. But he has, more recently, put down the wrenches and returned to his passion of writing.
Rick loves bringing people together by officiating their weddings! While his distinct, long grey-bearded "Biker Santa" look may give off a certain impression, people are drawn to his love of life and laidback nature.
